Lakefront properties come with their own set of challenges. Overgrown shoreline beds, washed-out sand, weeds pushing through gravel, and scraggly brush taking over beds that should be showcasing the water - it all adds up fast. That's exactly what we were working with on this Wright County property before we got started.

We came in and addressed the whole picture. The shoreline beds were cleared out completely - dead ornamental grasses, invasive weeds, and overgrown scrub all pulled and hauled away. Fresh beach sand went in along the waterfront. New rock was added and arranged to give the shoreline definition. From there, we planted hundreds of annuals and perennials throughout the beds - everything from bold marigolds and geraniums to soft white alyssum and purple petunias, all tucked into fresh dark soil with clean edging to frame it all.

The retaining wall area got the same attention. Weedy gravel was cleaned out and replaced with fresh white decorative rock, giving that upper terrace a polished, low-maintenance look that ties the whole property together. The curved bed along the retaining wall base was planted with a mix of colorful annuals that runs the length of the wall - it hits you right when you pull up to the property.

The owners were getting the place listed. That matters. Lakefront properties in Minnesota sell on curb appeal - and specifically on how that waterfront looks. A messy shoreline or neglected beds can drag a listing down fast. What we ended up with here is a property that looks sharp from the water and from the driveway, with every bed planted, edged, and finished clean.

This is the kind of full-scope landscaping and property cleanup work we do all across Wright County. It takes a crew that knows how to read a property, plan the plantings, and execute the cleanup all at once - without cutting corners on any of it.
