Backyard Overhaul in Buffalo MN - Sod, Grading, and Mulch Beds

Some backyards don't need a few touch-ups - they need a full reset. That's exactly what we were dealing with here. Overgrown vegetation, uneven ground, no usable lawn to speak of. The kind of yard that just sits there and frustrates you every time you look at it.

We started from scratch. The crew came in, cleared out all the overgrowth, and used a skid steer to grade the area and get the ground level and ready. Proper grading is one of those steps that's easy to skip but impossible to fix later. Water has to drain the right way, and the surface has to be consistent before sod ever touches the ground.

Once the grading was done, we laid fresh sod across the entire backyard. That green lawn you see now didn't exist before we got there. After the sod was down, we built out mulch beds along the fence line using red mulch - clean, defined, and low maintenance. Those beds do double duty: they add a finished look and cut down on the weed pressure in areas where grass doesn't make sense to grow.

The end result is a backyard that's actually usable. No more patchy dirt and weeds. No more fighting overgrowth every other week. Just a clean, functional outdoor space the homeowners can actually enjoy. That's what good landscaping is supposed to do - take something rough and make it work for the people living there.
